Whether you've been in church your whole life or haven't set foot in one in years — whether your faith is rock solid or full of questions — you are welcome at Cross Tracks. Not "welcome as long as" or "welcome if." Just welcome.
Cross Tracks is a genuinely diverse community, full of people of different ages and backgrounds, with different life experiences, and carrying different questions. We're made up of young adults, figuring out what they believe; parents, trying to raise kids with roots and values; longtime churchgoers; and people walking through the doors for the very first time.
What holds us together isn't agreement on everything. It's the conviction that everyone matters, everyone is loved, and we're all better when we do this together.
We mean that. Not "children are tolerated" or "children have a separate program so they don't disrupt things." Children belong in worship, full stop. Every single week, right before the sermon, we have Children's Time — a dedicated moment in the service where kids come forward for a children's sermon and a real conversation with the pastor. It's one of our favorite parts of the week.
After Children's Time, kids head out with our trained, background-checked staff and volunteers for age-appropriate learning and activities — so they keep growing at their own level while the adults continue with the sermon. Then they come back in to close the service together: singing, praying, and being part of the community they belong to.
Our worship is rooted in the United Methodist tradition—which means you'll find familiar rhythms: scripture, music, prayer, and the movement of a liturgy that connects us to Christians who have worshipped the same way for centuries.
But we don't treat liturgy like a rulebook. We see it as a doorway — a set of ancient, beautiful practices that help us show up, slow down, and encounter something larger than ourselves. You'll hear real music, real preaching, and real prayer. Nothing is performed for show. We're just a community trying to be honest with God and each other.
We believe that everyone is welcome. Everyone is important. Everyone is loved by God—exactly as they are, right now, without needing to change a thing first.
We take our faith seriously, but we hold our certainties loosely. We embrace doubt as part of the spiritual life, not a problem to be fixed. Some of our best conversations start with "I'm not sure I believe that anymore" or "Can I ask a hard question?" The answer is always yes, usually followed by a conversation that breaks us open and helps us to grow. Click here for more about Our Beliefs!
